Where can you get a 12-ounce New York strip on a Wednesday night in Cedar Creek without leaving the neighborhood? The answer is The Pub at Cedar Creek Golf Club. It serves dinner from a Fall/Winter 2026 menu dated October 1, and it stays open past 5 p.m. three nights a week.
That schedule matters more now than it did a month ago. In October the club calendar filled Friday nights with live music. The calendar for the rest of the year lists two events, and both are golf events. Until the new year, the club's evenings come down to the kitchen and its hours.
The Pub's posted weekly hours mark which days run into the evening. The dining page lists these hours:
| Day | Hours |
|---|---|
| Monday | 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
| Tuesday | 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
| Wednesday | 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. |
| Thursday | 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. |
| Friday | 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. |
| Saturday | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. |
| Sunday | Closed |
Early in the week, The Pub closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday add three hours, and Friday adds four. On Saturday it closes at 4 p.m., earlier than any weekday. A dinner reservation in your head for this winter belongs on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
The Pub is open to the public, members and their guests. A neighbor who doesn't play golf can still walk in for supper, and so can visiting family.
The kitchen works from separate menus for different parts of the day. The weekday lunch menu runs 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. A third menu, labeled "HH Pub Lunch," covers 3 to 5 p.m. on weekdays and the 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekend window. It offers a seven-ounce Angus Pub burger for $14 and a pulled-pork sandwich for $11.
The dinner menu takes over on the three late nights. A few dishes appear on more than one menu, and their prices show where lunch ends and dinner begins:
Both the lunch and weekend menus carry a September 1, 2026 date. The dinner menu followed a month later.
The handhelds carry over from lunch. The entrées are what make it a dinner menu, and every one comes as a plated meal with sides. According to the Fall/Winter 2026 dinner menu, the entrées are:
The starters lean toward a table that's sharing plates. There are crab cakes with remoulade for $16, southwestern egg rolls with chicken, cheese, black beans and chipotle ranch for $12, and bistro fries with parmesan, truffle oil and garlic aioli for $10. Bruschetta with sundried tomato cream, bacon, feta and balsamic glaze is $10. Wings come in orders of five for $9 or ten for $17. For a cold night there's soup of the day, clam chowder and chili, each $7 or $9. The menu ends with a note to ask about rotating desserts.
The range is wide. A cup of chili with a $5 side of tater tots comes to $12. A strip steak dinner costs $38. Both can come out of the same kitchen on the same Thursday.
Friday is The Pub's latest night, and in October the club calendar used it. The October 2026 calendar listed these events:
The last two listings of the month both fell on Friday, October 30. The Monster Mash Halloween Scramble ran from 1 to 5:30 p.m. "Live Music – Anybody's Guess" followed from 6 to 9 p.m. and was listed as a ticket-required Halloween party.
Every live-music date that month fell on a Friday, the one night The Pub stays open until 9 p.m. The club calendar lists no live music for November or December.
For the rest of 2026, the club calendar lists one event in each month.
David VS Goliath begins tomorrow, Friday, November 6, at 5 p.m. and runs through 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 8. The event page describes a Ryder Cup-style team format with teams picked by Mike and Chase, plus a Friday-night party. It's the only November event on the club calendar.
Here Comes Santa is a Christmas scramble on Saturday, December 12, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It's the only December event on the club calendar. The scramble ends at 1:30 p.m., before The Pub's 4 p.m. Saturday close, so the dining room is still open after the last group comes in.
Between those two dates there are five weeks with no event on the club calendar. Over those weeks, the posted dinner hours are the club's only regular evening schedule. That means dinner until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and until 9 p.m. on Fridays.
The new menus come from a club that has been under renovation for more than a year. Bloom Golf Management announced its purchase of Cedar Creek in July 2025. As Ohio Golf reported, Russ Bloom described the club as deserving "thoughtful investment," and the company said the purchase would fund capital improvements.
The work since then has mostly been on the course. The Aiken Standard reported bunker work, cart-path restoration, drainage repairs, new turf in eroded areas and tree removal where trees were affecting the turf. Augusta Newsroom listed the same work in its December 2025 roundup of Aiken County golf. The club's homepage now says the renovation is nearing completion, with results showing during the 2026 growing season and improvements continuing through 2026 and beyond.
The dining page describes The Pub as part of that work.
"Our dining space will continue to evolve as part of our ongoing enhancements, with fresh menus, welcoming service, and the quality you expect from your home club."
So far the visible change at The Pub is on the menus. Two were reissued on September 1, a seasonal dinner menu came out on October 1, and the dining room serves dinner three nights a week. The hours and menus can change from season to season, so it's worth checking the dining page before a Friday dinner plan.
Part of what makes Cedar Creek appealing as a home base is a dining room in the neighborhood that serves a steak dinner on a weeknight and stays open to the public. If you're weighing that kind of everyday convenience against acreage, barn access or the drive to the show grounds, I'm glad to walk through it with you at Distinctive Horse Properties.
